Nancy Ruth Dunlap, 94, passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice Savannah and her family.

She was born November 12, 1919 in Moorman, Kentucky to Arthur Pinkney Drake and Annie Ethel Hayes. She lived most of her life in Granite City, Illinois before moving to Savannah 16 years ago.

Ms. Dunlap was a member of Cresthill Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at Vacation Bible School and the Baptist Center Clothes Closet.

Ms. Dunlap was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Dunlap and their son, Kenneth Brooks Dunlap.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Roy Richard, of Savannah, daughter-in-law, Doris Dunlap of Peoria, Arizona, grandsons Michael Allen Dunlap Lori, of Ocean, New Jersey, Kyle James Richard Kristen, of Salisbury, Maryland and Matthew Robert Richard Brady, of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Ryan and Ashley Dunlap and Sadler and Court Richard.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the MSI unit of Memorial Health and the staff and volunteers of Hospice House Savannah for their kindness and compassion in treating Ms. Dunlap and her family.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Ms. Dunlap's remains will be returned to Granite City, Illinois for burial next to her husband at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Illinois.
